Days on Market have Increased

 

In April, the median days on market for sold properties in Jackson was 73, more than double the 32 day median we saw in March. This increase indicates that buyers are now willing to consider properties that have been sitting on the market longer. It remains important for sellers to have the right strategy in place to prepare, price, and position it in a way that reaches as many buyers as possible…and to have a little more patience, understanding that properties are often taking longer to sell than they have in recent years.

 

Number of Properties Sold has Increased

 

In April, there were 42 closed home sales in Jackson, up from just 26 sales in March. During this same time period, the number of homes with a pending contract also increased from 44 to 50 month-over-month, signaling another productive month on the horizon in May.
